“Hi, Im Riss, the artist behind Rissky Studio. One of my favorite things about making art is creating for, and giving back to my communities. I tend to follow a theme of that throughout my single line work, which is used to connect, both literally and figuratively, the people and places around me. As a queer artist it is very important for me to donate, educate, and bring awareness to organizations that are not only important to me, but this community at large. The reason BAGLY (Boston Alliance of LGBTQ+ Youth) is important to me is because no one, especially children/teenagers, should have to experience the feeling of not belonging. I will always believe in and advocate for a world that is more safe for LGBTQ+ youth, and prioritizes the needs of youth of color, trans and gender non-conforming youth, and homeless LGBTQ+ youth.”
